Make sure you have some cash on you as they will let you know that this is a cash only place. €5,00 for a plateful of pasta, 2 to choose from daily - meat or no meat and they switch up the pastas daily. We got the meat option. They open daily at 1PM for lunch and it's €1,00 for water if you need one. Take away only and no seating inside the pasta shop. A lot of people just ate near their store on the street... It's very close to the Spanish Steps so it's pretty easy to find. Right across from Pompi Tiramisu so you can get a dessert after the pasta. The noodles were chewy, great flavors and the pork crispy (looked like bacon than pancetta)... For 5 euros it's such a steal. I saw a bunch of local students swarming the outside of the store while chomping away at their pasta... it has to be good right? The store is clean, small and has big trash bins inside in case you're finished with your pasta and want to throw away the container... I ended up getting some dried pasta to bring home. Highly recommend checking them out. Hubby wasn't even hungry and still had more than half of MY pasta.

Love the casual ambience. Inexpensive water - only 1 euro per bottle! I will be back whenever I'm in the area!

Walk up and takeaway homemade pasta ready to cook or fresh and hot for a nice grab and go meal. Grab a medium box of pasta and head to the Spanish steps to dine. Menu changes daily with only two options of pasta. No seating for dine in. Take away only. The staff are friendly and services is quick. Reasonably priced at 5 euros for a pst and 1 euro for a water.

In 2017 I got in line, stood near the window, ate the pasta I chose and then got right back in line to get the other pasta. Eight euros later I was happy and a little sleepy, but I was happy and sleepy in the Piazza del Popolo y'all!!

During our stay in Rome I went here on two separate occasions. We were on a mission to the tiramisu dessert place across the way and stumbled on this place. The line out the door caught our attention and the 4,50 euro sign for pasta was too affordable to pass up. Pastificio Guerra usually has two handmade pasta options for you to choose from. An option with meat and one vegetarian one. The menu was different on both days we went. The first day we came they had a bolognese meat one with a mushroom options. On the second day we came they had a gnocchi with red sauce and few meatballs. I think they had the same mushroom vegetarian one they had on the first day as well. We had the meat ones on each day and they were both good. A portion was a good size and filled us up. The pastas were flavorful and came out hot. They give it to you in a take out container with a spork to be eaten. No bags. They don't have seating inside or outside. It's more of a grab and go type of place and the line moves rather quick. They also sell their ready to be cooked pastas inside.

Simple. Two pastas (one with meat, one vegetarian) sold to go. €4.50 per portion! A small business serving the boutique workers and local Romans and tourists like me who happen to stumble upon the shop. One day spaghetti with bacon (carbonara). One day I had gnocchi with a small piece of sausage. Delicious! For this designer boutique area, this shop is a deal!

Located right next to the Spanish steps, this spot is very convenient if you are looking to grab something and go. I found it difficult to find quick and easy food places (other than markets) in Italy, so this was a great find. I was in and out in 5 minutes. They tend to have 3 different pastas on rotation which include a veggie, seafood, and meat pasta so there is something for everyone. The pasta wasn't very warm but still tasted pretty good and the location was great. Got to eat and admire the Spanish steps/Rome while people watching. Great time!

DELICIOUS and cheap $4.50. They make it as you order. We went at 9pm so there were only 2 options of pasta. For lunch they have more selection. However, it's worth it!!!

Crazy cheap pasta shop near the Spanish Steps! At lunch time, they have 2 types of pastas available for €4.50 as of August 2022. The portions are pretty good and service of quick and efficient, pay with cash or card. This place is mostly takeout only, but you can stand around the pasta shelves to eat as well (no seats). Although located near the steps, please don't eat there or in front of the shops around it as to not block the traffic and potentially also get fined for eating at the steps. The pasta itself is actually a bit so-so. The carbonara one was cooked perfectly al dente but a bit saltier than I would like, but otherwise delicious! The spaghetti one was a bit overcooked to be more of a noodle, and the sauce was delicious but lacked a bit of that something-something (and some salt). I think the best taste would be to combine the two when we ate it. However, its hard to complain about €4.50 pasta! Try your luck at this place, I saw some other pastas from different days that look tastier and more interesting!
